NEW HIGHER RATE OF PAY: $18.00 an hour.

If you are working any of the sleep hours shifts which is midnight - 6:00 a.m. you get to sleep and the rate of pay for those hours during that sleep shift still get paid at rate of $15.00. Yes, you get paid to sleep during those hours!

Location: Supportive Living Community Home in rural Bellevue.

Positions Available:

One Full Time in the male home:

Full Time with Benefits 40 hrs a week:

• Thursday& Friday (11pm-7am) and Saturday & Sunday (11pm-3pm) 4 days on and 3 days off *like a mini vacay each week*

Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team as a Supportive Living Community Home DSP, where two adult men with developmental disabilities reside. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on their lives by providing essential support and care. You bring the compassionate heart and commitment to help others and we can train you to become a direct support professional in the field of developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Assists and supports clients with daily living activities, including possible personal care if needed, meal preparation, and medication administration.
• Promote independence and community involvement.
• Ensure a safe and supportive environment.
• Documentation
• Participate in recreational activities and outings with clients using your vehicle. (mileage reimbursement will be paid back to you)

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Dependable vehicle and valid driver’s license with less than 6 points and no more than 2 moving violations.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, driving record check, and other pre-employment checks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable.

• Physical Job requirements: Exerting/lifting/carrying 25 to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, or 10 to 25 lbs. of force frequently, or 10 to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects. Are you able to meet the physical requirements of this position?
• As the support person to someone with developmental disabilities, you will need a dependable vehicle and insurance. Part of your job is transporting the clients in your vehicle to their life activities. This can be anything from grocery shopping, entertainment, doctor's appts, and anything in between. You will be paid mileage reimbursement for any miles you travel with a client in the car. Do you meet this requirement?
• These positions have two pay rates depending on the hours your shifts cover. The rate is $18.00 an hour for hours outside of the sleep shift of midnight to 6:00 a.m. The sleep rate between the hours of midnight to 6:00 a.m. is paid at a rate of $15.00 an hour. Are you comfortable with these rates?
• Post offer checks will be performed including but not limited to: Criminal Background checks, Driving record checks, abuser registry checks, Drug Screening including for marjuana (we also random screen), several state required checks. Will you pass all of your checks?
• Depending on the client(s) you work with, these positions require various levels of assistance of toileting, bathing and personal hygiene of clients. Are you ok with this?

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• care field/mentoring: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License with no more than 2 moving violations (Preferred)
• CPR/1st Aid (we also offer classes if you do not have this) (Preferred)
• Driver's License with less than 6 points & vehicle (Preferred)
