Our Concrete Paving Mechanic will inspect, service, and repair concrete paving and batch plant equipment.

What You Will Be Doing

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Performs routine maintenance on project site equipment.
• Tests and inspects engines for malfunctioning parts, repairs or replaces worn, defective, or broken parts.
• Adjusts components according to specifications.
• Maintains knowledge of Company’s values and strategic plan.
• Performs additional assignments per management’s direction.

Education And/or Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with hand tools, including screwdrivers, wrenches, and pliers, pneumatic tools and diagnostic equipment. May use compression gauges, ammeters, and voltmeters to rest engine performance.

• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear and drive.

• Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, reach, crawl, climb, twist, squat or crouch
• Regularly requires working at heights, a strong sense of balance, climbing and descending ladders frequently
• Often requires lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling items weighing up to 60 lbs
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Able to wear the required safety personal protective equipment
