Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of heavy machinery on construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and safely. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members while adhering to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment including loaders, excavator, dozer and water truck on construction sites.
- Perform tasks such as digging, building, and moving materials as required for various projects.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other operators to coordinate activities and ensure project timelines are met.
- Follow all safety regulations and protocols while operating machinery to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and report any issues or malfunctions promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating heavy machinery such as Caterpillar equipment, Deere equipment and GPS equipment onsite.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while demonstrating strong communication skills.
- Familiarity with construction site operations and safety standards is preferred.
- Valid driver's license may be required depending on the specific machinery operated.
- Must be physically capable of performing manual labor tasks associated with construction work.
