Summary
As a Human Resources Supervisor, you will play a key role in recruiting and onboarding new Flatrock Manor employees who will improve the lives of adults with disabilities. You will support and collaborate closely with staff members, providing expert guidance on competitive pay programs, performance reviews, organizational compliance, and promoting a positive, supportive work environment for team members.
Core Responsibilities
- Create and update companywide job descriptions
- Select qualified applicants for interviews, conduct interviews, and recommend
applicants to be selected for hire
- Complete reference checks
- Support and guide all staff through sensitive, complex, and/or specialized issues as they
arise
- Administer and execute tasks in delicate situations or circumstances including:
- Investigations
- Allegations of wrongdoing or illegal activity
- Provide reasonable accommodations
- Analyze trends in compensation and benefits; research and propose competitive pay
programs and valuable benefits options to ensure the organization attracts and retains
top talent
- Ensure timely and constructive performance appraisals are completed including:
- Recommending and implementing disciplinary action
- Recommending promotions
- Overseeing and reviewing terminations and other appropriate or legally
- Required changes in employment status
- Oversee the process for receiving, processing, investigating, and responding to
- employee complaints, including recommending appropriate remedial action
- Create, implement, and interpret human resources processes and policies in
- Compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including
- Recommending best practices for maintaining compliance
- Advise and recommend new technologies, systems, or other human resources related
- Processes that make talent management more efficient and effective
- Monitor and manage leaves of absence to ensure properly tracked in time keeping
- System and that appropriate documentation is issued and gathered to support the
- leave requested
- Engage with employees, including requesting appropriate medical documentation, to
- Process requests for accommodations of disabilities and/or sincerely held religious
beliefs
- Ensure employment records are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Establish, update, and publish employment, safety, and health policies and procedures
- To ensure legal and regulatory compliance
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Human Resources Director
- Flexibility and commitment to work the hours and times required to perform the job's responsibilities, including evenings and weekends as necessary.
- Requirements
- A minimum of three years of human resources management experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
required
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired
- Effective Teamwork & Communication
- Maintain a positive, open, and supportive relationship with all
- management and staff
- Utilize all communication tools including FIN
- Maintain and advocate for all Flatrock Inc. residents’ rights
