Position Overview:
We are looking for an energetic and attentive Food Runner/Busser to join our team at Flavor Hills Myrtle Beach. This dual-role position is essential in supporting the smooth operation of the dining area by delivering food promptly and assisting with the cleanliness and organization of the restaurant. The ideal candidate will be quick on their feet, have a keen eye for detail, and exhibit a positive and team-oriented attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Runner Responsibilities:
- Food Delivery: Promptly deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests’ tables, ensuring that all orders are accurate, complete, and served at the correct temperature.
- Order Verification: Verify that each order is complete and correctly presented before leaving the kitchen, ensuring that any special requests or dietary needs are met.
- Table Communication: Communicate clearly with guests when delivering food, describing dishes when necessary, and accommodating any additional requests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Support Service: Assist servers with clearing dishes, refilling beverages, and addressing any guest needs promptly to provide seamless service.
Busser Responsibilities:
- Table Maintenance: Clear and reset tables quickly and efficiently after guests depart, ensuring that all areas are clean, sanitized, and ready for the next party.
- Restaurant Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness in the dining area, including sweeping floors, polishing glassware and silverware, and ensuring that all service stations are stocked and orderly.
- Assisting Guests: Assist guests with seating arrangements, special requests, or any other needs to enhance their dining experience.
- Collaboration: Work closely with servers, food runners, and kitchen staff to support smooth and efficient restaurant operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a food runner, busser, or in a similar role in a high-volume restaurant environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong multitasking abilities and a sense of urgency to deliver prompt and efficient service.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with both front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a passion for providing outstanding guest experiences.
- Physical ability to carry heavy trays and stand or walk for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
