Operating from a 110,000-square foot state-of-the-art facility in Benicia, California, Flavor Insights offers powder, liquid, and spray dry flavors to develop products from pilot to commercialized scale-up. Summary:
This is a blended position that primarily focuses on authoring SDS for compounded flavors. Additional secondary responsibilities include requesting and reviewing raw material documentation for raw material set up and approval, and finished product documentation review/publishing. The ideal employee will have experience creating SDS and be comfortable reviewing statements, managing documents and data entry, requesting information via phone and email, handling various inquiries and incoming work requests from the team.
Essential Functions:
· Use internal software to author and review GHS revision 7 compliant U.S. SDS for compounded flavor (~95%) and food blends (~5%).
· Lead documentation procurement and data entry activities for new flavor raw materials into various software systems.
· Review, analyze and maintain raw material documentation (Product Specifications, Nutritional Information, Allergen Statements, GMO, Kosher, etc.).
· Manage the digital and physical recordkeeping of documents.
· Multi-task various regulatory projects (data organization and review).
· Flexible with work responsibilities - perform other related technical regulatory assignments as needed.
Job Requirements:
· College courses taken or degree.
· Training and experience authoring U.S. SDS including a basic understanding of the 16 sections.
· Attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
· Capable of following written and verbal instructions, able to effectively work with computers with minimal supervision.
· Comfortably able to work independently and follow standard operating procedures and safe work practices.
· Background or study in the Food Industry and Food Science a plus.
· Previous regulatory work with flavors, fragrances, or similar trade secret chemicals, is a plus but not required.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
