What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT ESA Admin III position at Fleet Farm?
This position will be responsible for addressing technology related issues from our internal customers. The IT Enterprise System Administrator III will be responsible for installing, supporting and maintaining the operation of the IT hardware, all peripherals and applications for all end users in the corporate office and remotely for all stores.
Fleet Farm Store Support Center offers a hybrid work arrangement for most positions. Full remote work arrangements may be considered for this role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to write proposals or papers, act as a vendor liaison, make presentations to customers or client audiences or professional peers, and work closely with upper management.
- Ability to solve problems quickly and automate processes.
- Familiarity with the principles and practice of system configuration management; experience using a declarative configuration management system and a broad understanding of the role of desired configuration as part of strategic organizational knowledge.
- A solid understanding of an operating system; understanding of paging and swapping, inter-process communications, devices and what device drivers do, file system concepts (inode, clustering, logical partitions), ability to use performance analysis to tune systems.
- A solid understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts, including principles of routing, bridging and switching, client/ server programming, and the design of consistent network-wide file system layouts.
- Focused on several medium and large projects.
- Intermediate understanding of vendor, procurement and budget management.
- Lead tasks as assigned by the Information Technologies Manager and/or Senior Management.
- Maintain a clear understanding of Fleet Farm goals and practice proper policies and procedures.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, or Business required. Or equivalent education, experience and training may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
- Over 7 year’s similar experience.
- In depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server administration and installation in a virtual environment (VMWare and VDI).
- Proven experience with operating system life cycle management and configuration management.
- Experience with Active Directory administration and its components.
- Experience with vulnerability remediation, system hardening, and patching systems (SCCM or JAMF).
