We are seeking a Barista [Full-Time, Monday-Friday; 6:30am-1:30pm] whose primary responsibility consist of performing dining services duties including kitchen preparation, food tray preparation and dining room service. Ensures compliance with all legal and company guidelines

Key Responsibilites:
- Follows all established safety procedures and precautions. Reports all unsafe/ hazardous conditions, and/ or defective equipment to Manager. Reports all incidents/accidents, no matter how minor, to Manager.
- Prepare or serve hot or cold beverages, such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, or teas.
- Clean or sanitize work areas, utensils, or equipment.
- Check temperatures of freezers, refrigerators, or heating equipment to ensure proper functioning..
- Receive, stock supplies and products.
- Create signs to advertise store products or events.
JOB KNOWLEDGE:
Must have knowledge of the fundamentals of dining operational procedures and etiquette.
SPECIAL DEMANDS:
Possesses a genuine interest in caring for and serving older adults while participating as a team player.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Stands or walks most of working shift. Bends, reaches, lifts or carries supplies, china, glasses and utensils. Performs light physical work exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a frequent basis and up to 20 pounds of force on an occasional basis.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education Required:
Must be able to read, write, speak and follow written and oral directions in English. High school diploma or equivalent preferred, not required.
Experience:
At least one (1) year experience in the coffee service or food and beverage industry preferred.
Employment Variables:
Flexible schedules are required at times to meet Fleet Landing’s needs.
Supervision:
Reports to the Dining Services Manager
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Sit, stands and walks intermittently during workday. Subject to frequent interruptions. Deals with public and personnel under all conditions.
