Position Summary for a Contents Lead:
The Contents Packing and Cleaning Lead is responsible for overseeing and coordinating both the packing and cleaning of personal and business contents during relocation, restoration, or storage processes. This dual role involves leading a team of packing and cleaning specialists, ensuring that items are efficiently packed and thoroughly cleaned, and coordinating the logistics to ensure the safe and organized handling of contents. The Contents Packing and Cleaning Lead ensures that client belongings are meticulously cared for, facilitating a seamless transition and restoring properties to their pre-loss condition.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities
- Use a handheld electronic device to complete a full inventory of customers’ contents.
- Daily reviews, updates with Supervisor
- Input information into Encircle
- Oversee that all PPE and Safety procedures are being followed
- Address customer questions and concerns
- Backup for Project Manager
- Pack contents up with protection and care to avoid damage.
- Complete pack backs and resets of all contents. Frequent lifting, carrying and placing boxes of belongings.
- Provide post construction cleaning to prepare a house for occupancy
- Follow procedures for cleaning structures and contents and handling customers’ possessions.
- Thoroughly clean smoke residue from contents and structure.
- Be responsible for always maintaining a clean and safe job site.
- Able to work well in team environments as well as alone.
- Comfortable using computer software programs
- On call for 1 week every month.
- Traveling to our other stores, and job sites, in MT.
- Weekly cleaning of the shop/offices
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in packing, cleaning, or restoration, with a demonstrated ability to manage and lead a team.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting professionally with clients and team members.
- Knowledge of packing techniques, cleaning methods, and safety procedures.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
Physical Demands / Working Conditions
- Will often work in dirty and/or wet conditions.
- Regularly lifting and carrying heavy boxes, containers, furniture, and items, which may weigh up to 50 pounds or more, and moving them to different locations.
- Frequently bending, stooping, and crouching to pack, clean, and organize items, and to access and work in tight or low spaces.
- Extending arms and reaching overhead to handle and arrange items, pack boxes, and clean surfaces at varying heights.
- Spending extended periods standing or walking while performing packing and cleaning tasks, which may involve moving throughout large areas or between different locations.
- Occasionally climbing ladders or step stools to access high shelves or storage areas and to perform tasks at elevated heights.
- Utilizing fine motor skills for tasks such as labeling, sorting, and carefully packing fragile items, as well as handling cleaning equipment and materials.
- Maintaining physical stamina and endurance to handle the demands of the job throughout a standard workday, which may include working in varying environmental conditions.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided for use and at times is mandatory. This may include but is not limited to gloves, respirators, safety glasses, hard hats and Tyvek suits.
- Work appropriate shoes must always be worn while on job sites or in the warehouse.
- The nature of the work requires technicians to be working with cleaning, deodorization and antimicrobial products daily.
- Some overtime may be required on a periodic basis.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Maintain a valid driver's license.
- Pass an annual MVR - Motor Vehicle Record check.
Salary: $18.00-$20.00 plus overtime and on-call bonus
