Fleet Services By Cox Automotive is currently hiring Lift Gate Installation Trailer Mechanic position for our Indianapolis shop on a 1st Shift.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install lift gate systems on various types of commercial trailers and trucks
- Run wiring for solar panels, electronic equipment and other trailer systems
- Install and troubleshooting hydraulic plumbing and associated components
- Perform work in an efficient and quality manner without compromising your safety or that of those around you.
- Use basic hand tools, precision instruments, as well as power tools, welding equipment, and jacks.
- Maintain a high level of productivity and be able to work within or close to most standard repair times.
- Perform all work in compliance with organizational safety, health and environmental policies, and federal regulations, to include OSHA, EPA, and DOT.
- Participate and complete all-in company required safety training.
To be considered for a Trailer Technician position you should have the following:
- Minimum 1 years’ experience as a Trailer Technician or related position.
- Training in repair of hydraulic lift gates preferred
- Knowledge of trailer air systems and wiring.
- Welding experience preferred
- Valid Driver’s License required. CDL-A preferred but not required.
- High School Diploma or and equivalent combination of education is a plus but not required.
- Must provide own hand tools that are adequate to perform job functions.
- Positive attitude, Safety conscious, good instincts, and self-motivation
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to balance a variety of tasks.
- A detail oriented and the ability to meet deadlines.
- A commitment to safety and strong customer service skills.
