About the Role
The Distribution Center Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse. As a key member of the supply chain management team, you will be responsible for supervising a team of employees, managing inventory, and coordinating with other departments to meet customer demands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management: Pull and organize orders from the warehouse by part number and quantity as directed by picking tickets in priority assigned.
- Scheduling: Create detailed schedules to ensure all inbound and outbound shipments meet specifications.
- Training and Development: Develop labor requirements needed and train new employees on equipment and facilities utilization.
- Order Fulfillment: Pack, label, and ship customer orders via various carriers.
- Accuracy and Productivity: Ensure stock is pulled and loaded into delivery vehicles with accompanying documents, maintaining a 99% accuracy rate.
- Manpower Coordination: Coordinate manpower requirements to meet changing conditions.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Interface with other departments to ensure timely completion of Inbound and Outbound deadlines.
- Process Improvement: Develop process plans for each distribution receipt, including personnel, resources, equipment, and floor space.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of warehouse and supervisory experience required.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills required.
