Currently we are looking for an Engineering Technician to join our firm in either our growing Indianapolis or Danville offices who best supports our clients, co-workers, and core principles – “understand our customers and satisfy their needs, do what we say we are going to do and have fun.” The ideal candidate will provide high-quality engineering for our clients while supporting other Project and Client Managers and helping to work with and lead our local design team.

Responsibilities:
· Assist engineers with design tasks for municipal infrastructure projects, with a focus on transportation related type work, including development of plans using AutoCad Civil 3D and MicroStation software, quantity calculations, cost estimating, and writing technical specifications
· Assist in the analysis of reports, maps, drawings, tests, and aerial photographs to plan and design projects
· Assist with civil engineering projects including needs and feasibility studies, asset management, stormwater management and preparation of technical reports and documentation
· Interact and collaborate with in-house engineers and technicians to produce high quality designs and drawings that meet the relevant company and industry standards for the project
· Perform occasional site visits to obtain needed documentation or to provide inspection and documentations in accordance with INDOT requirements and procedures
· Assist in solving problems and issues that arise during construction
Qualifications:
· Associate of Science degree in Civil Engineering related field
· Five or more years of relevant municipal transportation experience mandatory
· Knowledge of transportation related funding programs, including CCMG and NOFA, is preferred
· Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D and ArcGIS preferred
· INDOT construction certifications a plus
· Valid driver’s license
