Description : Position Summary
A Senior CAD Designer or Technician at VS Engineering will be an individual experienced in the use of AutoCAD and Civil 3D for civil site projects. Work includes design on exciting and complex projects with a variety of engineers, project managers, and technical staff. Get involved in exciting local and state-wide projects including structural, transportation, and civil site. Our Lafayette Office has a long history of providing exceptional solutions to traditional and historic bridge design, city and county roadway and streetscapes, and public work projects for local cities, counties, and universities.
A Typical Day May Include
- Working closely with project managers and project teams
- Completing CAD Civil 3D designs for various projects as needed
- Taking engineering designs and producing a full set of contract plans including layout, plan and profile, general plan, maintenance of traffic, and site grading
- Working with the design team to support the development of project design documents including quantity calculations, erosion control plans, etc.
- Learning, following and helping to improve VS Engineering CAD standards
- Driving successful project schedules, budgets and communication
