We are hiring a Chief Accountant with start up experience to join our team!
What you'll do:
The Vice President of Marketing at Flex Moving & Storage will lead the marketing strategy and execution to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and retention in the B2C market. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in developing and implementing effective marketing campaigns, leveraging digital channels, and enhancing the overall customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Month-End and Year-End Close:
- Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Review and approve all closing journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
- Ensure all balance sheet reconciliations are completed and discrepancies are resolved.
Produce Financial Statements:
- Prepare and review consolidated financial statements, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and company accounting policies in financial statement preparation.
- Coordinate with external auditors for year-end audits and manage all audit-related activities, including supporting documentation and query responses.
Process Improvement & Automation:
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve the month-end close process, reducing the close timeline while maintaining accuracy.
- Drive the implementation of accounting software upgrades and system enhancements to improve efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls over financial reporting and adherence to company accounting policies. Regularly review internal accounting processes to identify risks and inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- 4 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role, preferably in a B2C environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
