Job Summary:
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for a wide range of accounting functions, including payroll, commissions calculations, accounts payable, and financial reporting support. The ideal candidate must be proficient in Excel, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process bi-weekly payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Expertise in ADP payroll system
- Understanding of state unemployment insurance (SUI) tax regulations
- Calculate monthly sales commissions and collaborate with team members to address any discrepancies.
- Manage accounts payable inbox, including reviewing invoices, preparing payments, and ensuring accurate records.
- Collaborate with the Senior Accountant to update cash flow statements and financial projections.
- Follow up with Vendors POV Payments
- Process daily refunds and handle dispute claims, ensuring resolution within defined timelines.
- Oversee and manage the company's credit card spend program (RAMP), ensuring compliance and proper documentation.
- Conduct ad hoc research projects and collaborate with team members to provide actionable insights.
- Continuously seek ways to improve processes and enhance operational efficiency.
- Handle and analyze large data sets in Excel, utilizing advanced formulas and tools as needed.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience preferred.
- Expertise in ADP payroll system
- Understanding of state unemployment insurance (SUI) tax regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Advanced Functions and Manual Templates(e.g., VLOOKUP, Pivot tables, Formulas, Excel Templates).

- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
