Reporting to the Process Engineering Manager, the potential candidate would be responsible for designing and engineering tooling protocols for molds, jigs and fixtures as required to meet products specifications.

Reporting to the Process Engineering Manager, the potential candidate would be responsible for designing and engineering tooling protocols for molds, jigs and fixtures as required to meet products specifications.
What a typical day looks like:
- Design and engineer moderately complex tooling protocols for molds, jigs, and fixtures as per product specifications.
- Participate in design reviews. Perform Design for Manufacturability (DFM) evaluation.
- Validation for the molding designs and troubleshooting tooling issues.
- Implement cost effective tool design changes.
- Collaborate with other team members to qualification, sampling, and final part approval.
- Provide status reports as per established schedule.
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to tool room equipment.
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience and training for 8 years of related experience in thermoplastics, thermosets, injection molding (e.g. product design, validation of tools), mold flows, troubleshooting and resolving tooling issues, strong familiarity with molding processes.
- Proficient with use of the tools, experience with electronic assembly: color code, component, and schematics.
- Experience with PCB operations. Testing: oscilloscope, cable and harness testing, trouble shooting, component testing, logic analyzer. Inspection: bare board, systems, components, cable and harness, microscope, measuring tools. Mechanical & Electrical Tools: taps and dies, alignment tools, measuring tools.
