Overview :
Location : Lafayette, LA
Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Piping Designer to join our team. This is a full-time, office-based position with occasional site visits required.
Essential Duties :
- Interpret and apply design guidelines and criteria to create systems designs.
- Adapt to client drafting standards and specifications for assigned projects.
- Ensure constructability, operability, and maintainability within project designs.
- Provide efficient, cost-effective technical input for project designs.
- Prepare detailed design drawings based on engineering requirements and deliverables.
- Offer guidance to drafters on assigned projects.
- Collaborate with the Lead Designer to ensure smooth, accurate, and timely project deliverables.
- Maintain a comprehensive Job Data Book for all pertinent design phase information.
- Regularly review drawings for completeness, quality, and adherence to standards.
- Perform checks and backchecks on all drawings for assigned projects.
- Prepare and oversee the preparation of final drawing plots and transmittals for deliverables.
- Maintain awareness of project schedules and budgets.
- Assist with project audits when required.
