What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Generalist position at Flexpak Inc?
The HR Generalist is responsible for executing various tactical human resources functions, including employee relations, recruitment compliance, and HR policy implementation. While the following list provides examples of key tasks, additional responsibilities may be assigned based on business needs. This role plays a crucial part in fostering a positive work environment, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and supporting the organization’s strategic goals. Additionally, the HR Generalist will support the overall strategy of the HR department and work closely with the HR Director to implement key initiatives and drive HR-related objectives.
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Support full-cycle recruitment efforts, ensuring seamless candidate tracking and data integrity within the ADP HRIS.
- Oversee onboarding processes, ensuring timely completion of new hire paperwork, system setup, I-9 verification, E-Verify compliance, and other required documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of job requisitions, applicant statuses, and hiring trends to support workforce planning.
ADP HRIS & Employee Records Management
- Maintain and update employee records in ADP HRIS and Employee Navigator, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Support system enhancements, troubleshooting, and optimization of HRIS functionalities to improve efficiency.
- Ensure proper documentation of employee lifecycle events, including hires, promotions, transfers, and terminations.
HR Metrics & Reporting
- Generate related to HR metrics, including recruitment effectiveness, turnover trends, time-to-fill, workforce demographics, and compliance tracking.
- Assist in audits related to employment records, benefits administration, and regulatory compliance, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting.
- Workers' Compensation and FMLA Tracking System
HR Compliance
- Oversee I-9 and E-Verify processes to confirm employment eligibility and maintain compliance with immigration regulations.
- Support HR audits related to wage and hour laws, benefits compliance, and workplace safety to mitigate legal risks and uphold regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with HR leadership to review and update employee handbooks, policies, and procedures to reflect changes in employment laws and company initiatives.
- Assist with internal investigations, disciplinary actions, and compliance-related training, ensuring that all actions are documented in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
- Serve as a resource for employees and managers, ensuring understanding and consistent application of workplace policies and legal requirements.
Qualifications & Skills
- 3 years of experience in HR administration.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, and HR best practices.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in HRIS (ADP preferred) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
