Job Title: Risk Analyst Intern
Location: Boca Raton, FL
Schedule: 5 days a week, In-Office, Monday-Friday
Classification: Hourly, Non-Exempt, Temporary

Overview:
As a Risk Analyst Intern, you will collaborate directly with multiple teams to analyze and identify risks and opportunities within FlexShopper’s operating environment. You will conduct statistical research, utilize various data sources, and help evaluate strategies aimed at reducing risk while minimizing impact to good customers. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data science and risk management in a fast-paced, innovative company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and identify potential risks, rewards, and opportunities within FlexShopper’s operations.
- Conduct ongoing research and statistical analysis using various data sources to identify factors impacting applicant risk.
- Evaluate and propose strategies for reducing risk with minimal impact to legitimate customers.
- Assist in cost/benefit analysis and provide thoughtful recommendations.
- Collaborate with the Risk team to develop and refine risk & fraud prevention strategies.
- Assess, deploy, and maintain risk strategies and policies in collaboration with leadership.
- Assist with performance monitoring and attribution analysis to measure the effectiveness of risk management tools.
- Contribute to the development of new ideas and business policies that drive actionable outcomes.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
Experience:
- Entry-level position suitable for candidates with 1-2 years of relevant coursework, internships, or practical experience in data analysis, risk management, or related fields.
- Familiarity with data analysis techniques and statistical software (e.g., R, Python, SQL).

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to work across multiple teams.
- Ability to think critically and evaluate risks in a dynamic environment.
