CNC MACHINE OPERATORS

Well-established manufacturing company in the Cincinnati, OH area are looking for CNC Machinists.

PURPOSE: The CNC Machinist is responsible for operating computer numerical control and/or manual machines to machine parts.
The machine operator loads parts in the machine, cycle’s machine and detects malfunctions in machine operations, such as worn or damaged cutting tools. The position runs production lots, communicates with co-workers regarding productions runs, and maintains a safe, organized and clean work environment.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs all assigned machine shop operations including setups as necessary on CNC Milling Machines
• Utilizes fixtures, cutting tools and work instructions from routers
• Reads and understands blueprints/drawings features
• Performs machine program edits as necessary
• Can read and understand machine codes
• Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to management or designee
• Follows tag system, quality procedures and completes all relevant in-process inspection forms including inspecting and documenting product dimensions, post operation
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures
• Completes and maintains paperwork for parts
• Use of overhead crane for loading and unloading parts into machine
• Perform general maintenance on machine such as changing coolant, oils and other lubricants as necessary
• Clocks time to jobs appropriately in ERP system

• High school diploma or equivalent or 2-5 years experience as a CNC Mill Machinist
• Mechanical aptitude
• Willing to learn to become proficient in operating applicable equipment
• Good attitude
• Quality oriented
