Flexsys Americas, a leading manufacturer of tire additive products, has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Planner at its Sauget, IL location. This position is responsible for planning and scheduling of maintenance work. This position will work closely with Maintenance and Operations Team Managers to help plan & schedule daily work as well as shutdown activities. The Planner will not have direct supervisory responsibility but will assist with this function when needed. This position reports to the Site Maintenance and Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities:
· Prepare/organize job packages: Safety, Tools, Instructions, Resources, Documentation (drawings, pictures, sketches), etc. for Team
Manager to give to crafts persons as jobs are assigned
· Perform field walk downs with the appropriate resources to define work scope and requirements
· Work closely with operations personnel to understand job requirements and priorities
· Work within SAP to update job backlog status and add materials when needed
· Specify and request parts and materials in advance of need and stage accordingly
· Develop, maintain, and update Task Lists for recurring maintenance jobs
· Evaluate jobs completed or in progress and compare to job plan
· Maintain up to date equipment records
· Maintain spare parts, BOMs (Bill of Materials)
· Participate in Daily & Weekly Scheduling meetings
· Develop and Maintain Preventive and Predictive Maintenance Plans
· Maintain ISO critical and Regulatory test equipment and records
· Identify cost and efficiency improvement opportunities
· Work with outside contractors as needed
· Collaboration with the site Reliability Team to implement a world-class reliability program
· Planning and scheduling activities for maintenance shutdowns
· Perform backup duties for Team Managers as needed
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
· Minimum 5 years of experience in a Maintenance or Operations role
· Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
· Ability to read and interpret equipment drawings
· Keyboarding proficiency
· Must be a self-starter and able to manage multiple tasks at a time
· Strong planning, organization, facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills
· Analytical skills and a desire to provide “attention to detail.”
Preferred Qualifications:
· SAP proficiency
· Microsoft Excel proficiency
· Microsoft Project proficiency
· Previous Maintenance Planning Experience
· Knowledge of Chemical Process Equipment
· Knowledge of OSHA PSM (Process Safety Management)
· A proven track record of achieving results and affecting positive culture change in a union environment would be advantageous
· Ability to estimate work loads
