Quality Manager Role Description
The Flexsys America W.G. Krummrich plant (Sauget, Il) has an immediate opening for a Quality Manager. The Quality Manager will have direct supervisory oversight and performance accountability for all lab activities and ISO/RC management systems. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead continuous improvements in processes and people, driving toward the culture defined by the site vision. The salary range for this position is $90k-126k.
Responsibilities:
· Sets clear expectations for all team members and ensures those expectations are met
· Implements / utilizes processes that enable employees to realize their full productive potential in support of the organization’s goals
· Manages site’s-controlled documents
· Sustains subject matter expertise of ISO 9001 QMS and RC 14001
o Conducts annual Management Review
o Manages / facilitates 3rd party and customer audits
o Trains new and existing internal auditors
o Performs duties of Site Lead Auditor and administers site internal audit program
· Acts as primary site contact for all customer support needs – complaints, specifications, questionnaires, surveys, etc.
· Oversees implementation of corrective actions generated by customer complaints, internal / external audits, and management review
· Leads problem solving investigations for product failures encountered during standard production
· Develops / upgrades / maintains lab equipment, including coordinating work with outside resources
Requirements
Knowledge, Experience & Skills
Required
· Minimum of Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or related field
· Minimum 3 years of experience working a laboratory role
· Hands on experience with analytical equipment and solid analytical skills
· Knowledge of good / safe laboratory practices and analytical chemistry test methods
· Experience / knowledge of ISO 9001 certified quality system
· Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
· Strong planning, organization, facilitation, and analytical skills
· Ability to work with limited direction and manage multiple tasks at a time
· Good communication and people skills with ability to interact with internal and external customers
Preferred
· Previous management experience
· Lead auditor trained
· Experience / knowledge of RC 14001
· Experience / knowledge of TS 16949
· Knowledge of SAP and Laboratory Information Management Systems
· Knowledge of Six Sigma, 5S, Lean Principles
