In Flight Inc., is a nonprofit that provides support services within a home environment and the community for adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD).
Summary of Position : The Lead Clinician is responsible for the development and implementation of Behavior Plans. Teaching staff and supporting adults with IDD and Mental Health. Ensure best practice for health and safety with working knowledge of HCBS waivers and part 633.16 regulations
Qualifications :
- A master’s degree in psychology, Social Work, or related field; LCSW or LMHC required.
- Experience in assessment techniques and behavior support plan development.
- Experience with working with adults with mental health
- Knowledge of HCBS and Part 633.16 regulations
- Three to five years of experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities, including the development, implementation, and monitoring of behavior support plans
- Ability to provide supervision and training to others in the implementation of behavior support plans.
- Certification or ability to become certified in SCIP-R
- Strong behavioral analysis skills
- Effective communication and demonstrated leadership skills
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Office and Therap
Primary Functions :
Develops and oversees implementation and training of Behavior Support Plans, Medication Monitoring Plans, or other intervention strategies in conjunction with Residential Services.
During scheduled and unscheduled site visits, observe and document any changes in the individuals’ clinical stability and presentation. Communicate findings, clinical assessment, and recommendations to the treatment team.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. The employee must be able to lift up to 20lbs.

All staff must pass all NYS Justice Center Background Check Requirements, and Physical. In addition, the employee has a duty to report any suspected violations of the law (including any motor vehicle infractions) to the Human Resources Department.
