GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Recruiter will develop and implement effective recruiting practices to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent as part of a shared services team that works with various entities within the Flint Cultural Center Campus. This is a full cycle recruitment position that will also provide training to hiring managers, ensuring consistency in all hiring practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Facilitates all phases of the recruitment process
- Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria
- Utilizes HRIS tools to manage the recruitment and onboarding processes
- Posts open positions on appropriate job boards
- Screens applications and recommends qualified candidates to hiring managers
- Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials
- Collaborates with the hiring manager to develop the offer of employment for the selected candidate
- Completes the onboarding process from offer acceptance through first day of employment
- Enters all new hires into payroll system and ensures completion of all related paperwork
- Trains hiring managers on FCCC hiring practices and participates in interviews as needed
- Interacts with applicants, co-workers, and hiring managers on a regular basis
- Maintains regular and prompt attendance at work
- Displays professional and respectful behavior to all persons in the workplace
- Follows organizational policies and procedures
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience required
- 2-3 years’ experience in recruiting for a wide variety of positions from entry level up to and including management required
- 2-3 years of clerical experience, specifically within a human resources department required
- 2-3 years’ experience working with HRIS systems, required; experience with Paylocity preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to assess and evaluate candidate qualifications
- Knowledge of labor laws, employment regulations, and industry trends
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
