Automotive Accounting Assistant

Job Summary:

As an Automotive Accountant Assistant, you will support the accounting team with daily financial operations, including maintaining accurate records, processing transactions, and assisting with financial reporting. Your role will be integral in ensuring the smooth functioning of the dealership’s financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoice entry and reconciliation.

• Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with dealership procedures.

• Assist in maintaining accurate vehicle inventory and cost records.

• Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and other financial accounts.

• Support payroll processing and ensure compliance with regulations.

• Assist with financial reporting, including month-end and year-end closings.

• Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding financial matters.

• Maintain and organize accounting records and documentation.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate financial operations.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• Prior experience in an accounting role, preferably in the automotive or dealership industry.

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a deadline-driven environment.

• Knowledge of automotive dealership operations and accounting is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,360.00 - $45,760.00 per year
