Position Title: Flipside Afterschool Site Coordinator
Reports to: Flipside Afterschool Director
Under the general supervision of the Program Director and cooperation with Rivesville Elementary/Middle administration, this position is responsible for assisting in the planning and maintaining of the day-to-day operation of a Flipside afterschool site, including the supervision of AmeriCorps members.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Oversee onsite program management including lesson planning, student monitoring/evaluation, and supervision of program staff and AmeriCorps Members.
- Assist the Program Director in maintaining an accurate and up-to-date enrollment and waiting list.
- Serve as the main point of contact between Flipside and participating families.
- Maintain and submit weekly program and activity logs to assure that programmatic standards are being met.
- Prepare daily program and study materials and daily sign in/out sheets.
- Maintain safety of participants and positive security of the facility.
- Submit lesson plans to the Program Director for review prior to implementation to ensure they align with program goals and objectives and meet applicable educational standards.
- Organize and implement, in conjunction with the Program Director and Engagement Coordinator, regular opportunities for parent and family engagement (i.e. family engagement events and activities).
- Coordinate, in conjunction with the Program Director, enrichment activities provided by outside agencies.
- Assist the Program Director with the compliance of Flipside policies and procedures.
- Assist the Program Director in the creation of a positive climate and work environment.
- Report emergencies to the Program Director and Rivesville Middle/Elementary administration, as applicable.
- Provide excellent customer service through proactive communication with parents, partners, and community leaders.
Qualifications
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a minimum of a High School Diploma (GED).
- Have 18 months of supervised experience working with students in grades K-12.
- Demonstrate ability to work closely with others and diverse populations.
- Works well with children and can instill and maintain student discipline.
- Proficiency in working with Microsoft software and strong computer skills.
- Strong leadership skills
- Background check required.
Job Type
- Hourly, Non Exempt
- Employment Dates: August 19th, 2024-May 31st, 2025.
- 25 hours per week
- 3:30-6pm Monday-Friday with an additional paid lesson planning time.
Salary
- $20 per hour.
- Program follows the school calendar.
