Job Description

The System Engineering team at Teledyne Controls is looking for a dynamic individual with experience working in cross-functional teams through the hardware and software product development cycle from inception to entry into service. You will work on system architecture product requirements, trade studies, analysis, integration, V&V, and support activities. You will engage in new R&D projects as well as support our existing product lines in wireless data transfer, data acquisition, and networked systems onboard commercial aircraft. A successful candidate will be hands-on technical with a project engineering perspective. In addition, the ability to clearly communicate across all disciplines – including engineering, quality assurance, manufacturing and senior management – is an absolute must.

Your job :

• Learn all aspects of a complex systems to perform technical tasks throughout the system’s lifecycle. This may include working with hardware in the lab, developing scripts and / or APIs, or developing automated test routines / procedures.
• Perform Technical Lead duties for small and medium sized product developments including leading engineering trade studies and design reviews.
• Develop Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) architecture models.
• Design and verify system modules based on system operational requirements.
• Perform integration and troubleshooting of prototype HW and SW.
• Troubleshoot root cause analysis of OEM / customer issues in the field.
• Create and execute system test procedures to verify hardware and software functionality.
• Prepare and support design and implementation of automated test scripts and procedures.
• Support and author technical and process related documents.
• Support transition of hardware and software products from development to production, and support entry into service and OEM / customer field issues.
• Support the Program Office in generating product development schedule and cost.

Salary Range : $100,000 - $130,000. Due to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a 'US Person' (US Citizens, US Nationals, lawful permanent residents, asylees or refugees).

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education / training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
