Description
As a purchasing assistant, you will:
Take inventory and keep track of both physical warehouse inventory monthly count and truck transfers. This includes tracking part transfers, oil and used oil and ordering and scheduling pick ups.
Order parts as needed. This includes tracking the use of parts and sending orders to vendors as well as receiving and stocking the shelves when they arrive.
Occasionally you will need to deliver parts to and/or pick up from various locations.
Use of computers to process work orders and sales orders. This includes requesting permits per techs for customer authorizations, communication with techs once jobs are completed to close out permits and attending dispatch emails for customer call outs and updating customers with resolution in a timely manner. You will also need to coordinate and schedule unit moves.
Duties in the warehouse include driving both small forklifts for freight and larger forklifts for loading and unloading units.
May perform other duties as assigned.
Schedule: M-F, working 40-45 hours per week between the hours of 6am-5pm with the possibility of weekends on call occasionally
Qualifications
Must be 21 years old and hold a valid driver’s license
Must be able to work with technicians to meet inventory needs
Must have organizational skills
Must be able to use MS Office as well as possess intermediate technical skills
Must be able to communicate with suppliers to have parts when needed
Must be punctual and possess a strong work ethic
Must be able to follow EHS policies and procedures
Will be required to keep work area clean and organized
This is a "safety sensitive" position
Must be able to lift 50 lbs
1-2 years' experience in inventory
Education : High School Diploma/GED
