About the Role
As a Private Client - Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the retention and satisfaction of our high-net-worth clients. You’ll work closely with Risk Advisors, Practice Leaders, and underwriters to deliver exceptional service, manage day-to-day client needs, and oversee the marketing and placement of new and renewal business. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about client service, eager to expand their knowledge in the insurance industry, and committed to building strong, long-term relationships with both clients and carriers.
What You’ll Do
- Manage Assigned Book of Business: Provide day-to-day client service, anticipate needs, and address client questions and issues promptly. This responsibility ensures high client satisfaction and retention, directly impacting the success and growth of our high-net-worth client base.
- Account Retention, Rounding, and Program Design: Focus on retaining existing clients, expanding their coverage, and designing tailored insurance programs. By aligning our offerings with clients' evolving needs, you contribute to business growth and long-term client relationships.
- New Business Marketing and Placement: Market and manage the placement of new and renewal business, including preparing proposals and presenting new accounts. This responsibility drives the acquisition of new clients and strengthens relationships with carriers, ensuring we remain competitive and expand our portfolio.
- Client Meetings and Coverage Needs Implementation: Facilitate client meetings to identify coverage needs and implement customized insurance solutions. This is critical for ensuring clients receive the best protection and services, fostering strong, trust-based relationships and enhancing client retention.
- Other Key Tasks: Handle invoicing, certificates of insurance, endorsements, and manage premium collection and account receivables. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance carriers, strategic partners, products, and legislation, and support agency goals to retain and place business with key companies.
What You Bring
- Education and Work Experience: 5 years independent insurance agency background required or similar years other related work experience (i.e., Risk management experience). College degree preferred but not required. Previous experience in client relationship management, particularly within high-net-worth personal lines insurance, preferred but not required.
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Must have industry designation of CIC or equivalent with a willingness to pursue additional designations as needed (e.g., CRM, ARM, CPCU, AAI, etc.)
- Possess and maintain a Colorado multiple lines license.
- Colorado driver’s license and acceptable MVR

- Client Relationship Management: Strong ability to build and maintain client relationships and ensure satisfaction.
- Insurance Knowledge: Solid understanding of personal lines insurance, including policy interpretation and coverage recommendations.
- Sales and Business Development: Proven ability to market and sell insurance products and close new and renewal business.
- Organization and Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills to manage tasks like policy data, invoicing, and account receivables.
- Communication and Professionalism: Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor when working with clients and colleagues

- Salary Range - Starting pay for this nonexempt position is $30.00 - $35.00/hour. Pay may exceed this range for well-qualified candidates, commensurate with experience. In addition to regular pay, this position is eligible to participate in our annual performance incentive program. Bonuses may be available for client and employee referrals and for successful completion of approved industry designations.
