Summary
As a Human Resources Specialist at Floor City, you will play a vital role in supporting our workforce and enhancing our company culture. Located in a dynamic environment, this position is essential for managing HR functions that align with our mission to provide outstanding service and quality products.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Manage the recruitment process using really or other systems.
- Qualify applicants and schedule first interviews with HR.
- Oversee new hire paperwork and ensure smooth onboarding.
Employee Records & HR Systems
- Maintain accurate employee records for both USA and foreign employees in Workday or equivalent, ensuring data integrity.
- Create, implement, update, and maintain employee templates.
- Update and manage the Employee Manual upon approvals.
Payroll & Timekeeping
- Oversee payroll processing and maintain accurate records using Kronos.
- Verify time entries for payroll across two systems and report to owners.
- Manage time-off requests and ensure proper tracking.
Scheduling & Coordination
- Coordinate employee scheduling between owners.
- Maintain the HR calendar, tracking anniversaries, birthdays, events, holidays across multiple countries.
HR Policies, Compliance & Employee Relations
- Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures.
- Support employee relations by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Write-ups and termination management.
- Ensure compliance with FMLA regulations.
Training & Performance Management
- Coordinate training programs to enhance staff skills and performance.
- Train new hires on policies and procedures.
Benefits & Risk Management
- Administer employee benefits, including medical, 401(k), HSA, and handle employee inquiries.
- Manage company-wide insurance renewals and risk assessments annually.
Reporting & Analytics
- Monitor and create production reports for remote employees using multiple software programs.
- Track and report daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales metrics.
Culture & Engagement
- Plan and coordinate company outings and team-building activities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an HR Specialist or similar role in a relevant industry.
- Strong knowledge of HR software, particularly really, ATS, Workday, and payroll systems like QuickBooks.
- Familiarity with employment laws and regulations, including FMLA compliance.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with employees at all levels.
- Experience in contract management is a plus but not mandatory.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
