Design Associate: In-Home Sales Expert in Flooring

Design Associates (DAs) at Floor Coverings International focus on providing a positive customer experience and are responsible for working with both company-driven and self-generated leads to sell flooring solutions. With a flexible schedule, DAs utilize their flooring expertise and our mobile showroom to meet with customers to understand their needs and provide recommendations that best fit their vision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Client Engagement: Visit clients in their homes to understand and collaborate on their flooring projects
• Personality: Be punctual and professional, with an influential personality to drive results
• Sales System: Utilize our sales system with the help of a tablet and laptop, to provide quotes and track customer opportunities
• Sell: Selling is critical - get the order; coordinate with our team to ensure a seamless handoff
• Product Knowledge: Stay updated on the latest flooring products and trends to effectively advise clients
• Relationship Building: Develop lasting customer relationships and cultivate key referral sources for ongoing business growth; includes joining at least 1 networking group
• Customer Satisfaction: Ensure customer needs and expectations are met, collaborating with our team for exceptional customer service

Qualifications for Success:

• Sales Experience: In-home sales and/or flooring sales experience is required
• Drive and Determination: Use competitive drive to exceed sales targets
• Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written & verbal)
• Problem-Solving: Demonstrate strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
• Detail-Oriented: Pay attention to detail and possess strong organizational skills
• Integrity: Uphold values of integrity and honesty
• Tech-Savvy: Be computer literate and utilize company-provided software programs
• Industry Knowledge: Flooring, construction, or design knowledge is needed
• Urgency: Be responsive, and approach tasks with a sense of urgency
• Availability: Be available for homeowner appointments, including evenings and weekends
• Driver's License: Must hold a valid driver's license

Compensation:


Earning Potential: Strong base salary plus commission, with the potential to earn $100,000 annually. Pay is results-based, so the upper limit to earnings is uncapped.
