Floor Coverings International is the national leader for "in-home" flooring sales. We strive to give our customers the absolute best experience, from a consultative product selection to expert installation. We are located in Midvale, UT.
The Position
The design position is without question the most rewarding job in the company. The pay is good, the hours are flexible, and you can help people reimagine and transform their homes with the latest flooring trends from the top manufacturers. As a Floor Coverings International Design Associate, you will go out on both company-generated leads to meet with homeowners and assess their flooring needs and wants. Once the project's goals are understood, you will recommend and sell the flooring solution that best fits their needs and budget.
The Fit
People who succeed in this role are those with an influential personality who enjoy competition and are driven to meet and exceed goals. In addition, they are good listeners and have a bit of a creative side. People who excel at creating an exceptional customer experience are prime candidates for success in this role, regardless of their background. No prior flooring or design experience is necessary.
The Typical Day
Our design associates meet with homeowners in their homes, tell them about our company, show flooring samples, provide estimates, close the sale & submit the paperwork. Every day someone new with a new product/service request. The mobile showroom has 3000 samples that we bring it and show a customer samples right in their home.
The Pay
Full-time design associates can earn anywhere between $30,000 - $120,000 depending on effort and ability. Pay is results-based so there is no upper limit to what can be earned. Bonus opportunities as well. We are also looking for partners that want to work in an Independent Contractor role which is commission-based.
