What are the responsibilities and job description for the Analyst Payment Operations position at Floor & Decor?
Purpose:
The Treasury Operations team serves to provide two main services to the company – recognizing and accounting for all retail transactions and supporting the store associates in serving our customers. All initiatives taken on by Treasury Operations center around ensuring that our customers experience a fast and accurate check-out in every store every time and ensuring that all transactions are accounted for properly. The Payments Operations Analyst will assist with reconciliation of sales transactions and will work with the Treasury Operations team, store associates, and many other internal departments to offer world class support to all Floor & Decor locations.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance and understanding of basic accounting and balancing procedures
- Sense of ownership, urgency, and diligence towards serving internal customers
- Strong analytical skills and the desire to identify and implement process improvement opportunities
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of the company
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Detail oriented and highly organized
- Self-starter with a positive attitude and a strong desire to succeed
- Ability to adapt to changes that occur in a rapidly growing environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Intermediate level in Excel)
Essential Job Functions:
- Create and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly reports measuring store performance and defining sales metrics to include open check deposit reporting, credit card settlement reporting, sales analysis, etc.
- Provide world class service to store associates by researching and resolving store requests for assistance (i.e., calls, emails, helpdesk tickets) within 24 hours, giving accurate advice, and escalating issues as necessary
- Assist with daily Treasury Operations tasks such as:
- Verify and reconcile daily credit card transactions
- Process requests for customer refund checks for submission to Accounts Payable
- Notify stores of improperly processed check deposits in a timely manner
- Create and monitor a variety of daily, weekly, and monthly reports for internal and store use
- Respond to internal and external audit requests by requesting, compiling, and delivering all requested documents in a timely manner
- Work with internal departments to ensure policies and procedures are correct and are being followed appropriately and develop, suggest, and implement process improvements and procedural changes, as needed
- Assist with the documentation, improvement and streamlining of various treasury related processes
- Assist with other Treasury Operations tasks and projects as needed

Physical/Sensory Requirements
Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
