What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisor Accounts Payable - Expense position at Floor & Decor?
Purpose :
This individual in this position is responsible for supervising all aspects of the company’s expense / freight accounts payable process. This includes but not limited to, processing and payment of invoices, reconciliation and reporting of key metrics, as well as overseeing the company’s purchasing card program and reconciliation of duty payments. This position will also be a key contributor for all accounts payable related projects, process improvements, and system implementations.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field and 3-5 years (including 2 years of supervisory experience) in Accounts Payable, Accounting or Treasury experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to work effectively across all business functions
- Ability to communicate with all levels within the organization
- Ability to maintain accuracy in a very detailed work environment
- Proficient with PC accounting software, Internet-based programs, MS Office Suite
- Prior experience with Alteryx, Oracle, SAP, JDA or Coupa systems a plus
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Customer service driven, detail-oriented self-starter with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem resolution skills

Physical / Sensory Requirements
Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and / or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
