We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspecting, cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting machinery and equipment. You will conduct preventive maintenance activities to ensure optimal machine performance and reliability, diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic system issues, and perform necessary repairs.

About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspecting, cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting machinery and equipment. You will conduct preventive maintenance activities to ensure optimal machine performance and reliability, diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic system issues, and perform necessary repairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform regular inspections, cleaning, and lubrication of machinery.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure reliability, including calibration and part replacement.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic system problems.
- Utilize technical manuals, diagrams, and blueprints to identify issues and determine repair procedures.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and coordinate repairs as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and manage spare parts inventory.
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and disruptions.
- Suggest improvements for equipment performance, efficiency, and safety.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and relevant regulations.
- Assist in training and mentoring new maintenance team members.
So, what does it take to be successful in this role?
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in a relevant field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing or industrial setting, preferably in the food industry or dairy manufacturing.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Knowledge of maintenance best practices, including preventive maintenance, equipment calibration, and safety protocols.
- Familiarity with tools and equipment used in maintenance and repair work.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and electrical schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Flexibility to work 2nd shift.
