The Florida A&M University's Office of Admissions is excited to announce the acceptance of qualified applications for the Associate Director, Student Affairs vacancy. The Associate Director will provide leadership in advancing optimal strategic undergraduate recruitment initiatives to achieve enrollment goals.
Responsibilities
The Associate Director will utilize data-driven strategic planning models, and develop planning, management, and assessment tools for the undergraduate admissions program and related human and technological resources; Work closely, collaboratively, and openly with Marketing, Deans, faculty, students, alumni, financial aid, Registrar, and others in the campus community to develop and enhance strategies and innovative programs to ensure a smooth transition of first-time and transfer students to the university community; Provide the necessary ongoing reports to monitor outcomes; Develop new and enhance existing web initiatives and technologies to meet the needs of students; Assist with overseeing the development and production of marketing/advertising materials for new student recruitment in close collaboration with the Office of Marketing; Oversee the collection and organization of accurate data from all areas of the undergraduate recruitment and enrollment process enabling analyses and enrollment projections for decision-making.
Hire, supervise, train, and encourage a diverse recruitment staff. Fill vacancies as warranted. Prepare annual employee evaluations and training plans.
Responsible for the efficient operation of the SLATE CRM System and PeopleSoft Student Information System in the recruitment process. Respond to requests for recruitment data. Use emerging technologies to increase efficiency, expand the pool of applicants, increase yield rates, and improve potential student satisfaction with the recruitment process.
Other duties as necessary include participation in campus tours, new student orientation, open houses, and other recruitment-related activities. Prepare annual, quarterly, and year-end summary recruitment reports. Ensure compliance with SACs, other applicable accrediting agencies, state agencies, and best practice organizations. Travel and attend conferences as needed. Serve on university, state, and national committees as necessary. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in appropriate area of specialization and six years of related experience; or master's degree in appropriate area of specialization and four years of related experience.
