Maintenance Supervisor, Campus Recreation

Responsible to a Coordinator or appropriate higher level administrator. Responsible for paraprofessional coordination and/or management of a unit, operation or function including program/project planning, evaluation, and implementation. May provide leadership to students or support staff. Responsible for implementation of department and University policies and procedures. Responsible for making decision and evaluating appropriate criteria per specific job function. Responsible for resolving problems and communication issues of concern to appropriate higher level authority. May be responsible for planning, purchasing, inventory, cost control, staffing and equipment requirements for a unit. May be responsible for managing the operations of a recreational facility or intramural sport program. May be responsible for monitoring or performing professional accounting procedures within a designated accounting unit. May be responsible for administering a professional personnel function such as recruitment, retirement, classification, processing or employee relations and for counseling employees in related issues. May serve as liaison between the department/unit and other agencies and departments. A high school diploma and five years of appropriate experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

The Maintenance Supervisor, Campus Recreation will provide functional leadership for facility maintenance and custodial services for the Campus Recreation Department. Responsibilities include risk management, enforcing policies and procedures, and compliance with Florida Atlantic and applicable national standards and best practices.
