Position Summary:
The Director of Information Technology strategizes, executes, and manages the hardware, software, service delivery and personnel operation of the IT Department. The position ensures alignment with the goals of FCHC and maintains a current and secure infrastructure environment. The Director will also work closely with the Clinical team to identify, recommend, develop, and implement cost effective technology solutions.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Provide coverage and support for Windows Server operations and Information Technology Department projects as directed.
- Maintain a VMWare virtual environment for FCHC virtual servers, managed by HP Hosts.
- Provide technical support for server‐based applications as relates to interoperability and performance
- Maintain an Exchange server for organizational mailboxes and groups
- Monitor and maintain all servers including virtualization host clusters, virtual servers hosted on premise or cloud‐based, application servers, file and print servers.
- Maintain Terminal Server environment to support connections from all FCHC locations.
- Maintain Active Directory Domains and Domain Trees for all Organizational Units (OUs) including all devices, users' accounts and policies.
- Manage multifactor authentication system for employees that require remote access.
- Coordinate and collaborate with third‐party vendors for support in areas for hardware maintenance, OS health or support, application support, or Active Directory application as needed or appropriate.
- Regularly analyze log files; investigate and correct recorded errors that are discovered. Unable to assess.
- Monitor and Maintain server and data backup process.
- Monitor and Maintain Veeam and Eslio for onsite and offsite backups.
- Maintain offsite disaster recovery location and ensure ready deployment of services.
- Maintain and Manage the Meraki portal for monitoring all wireless access points company wide.
- Work with systems for endpoint device management including software distribution, patch management, virus protection and imaging.
- Create and maintain documentation of design, features, technical specifications, and infrastructure requirements for existing and self‐produced technical work and job processes.
- Ensure regularly scheduled technical tasks are accomplished on time.
- Maintain and Monitor a Barracuda web filter and email filter for any threats that are identified.
- Monitor industry trends, technologies, and standards.
- Research, recommend, and apply new technologies as they emerge.
- Maintain and Monitor SD‐WAN accounts that provide all locations with internet/VOIP capabilities/communications.
- Provide oversite required to ensure high performance of IT services across the organization.
- Engages in appropriate level of professional development to ensure maintenance of industry standard level of performance and to support organizational innovation.
- Provide degree of process oversight required to ensure timely and complete resolution of support issues requiring third‐party vendor intervention and support.
- Maintain and utilize internal IT Trouble Ticket database, IT Knowledge‐base, and Project Tracking to ensure high level of Customer Service Satisfaction
- Monitor and maintain IT assets within the organization using appropriate monitoring tools.
- Ensure timely installation of hardware and/or software as required to remain current and maximize organizational performance.
- Monitor and maintain all telephony assets including but not limited to Internet Service lines and equipment, Voice over IP (VoIP) services and equipment, carrier‐based telephone services and facsimile equipment and services.
- Manage all IT Related On‐Boarding and Off‐Boarding tasks and functions in a timely manner.
- Manage/Oversee all aspects of corporate security including Access Control systems, user authentication and role assignments, and email security.
- Ensure that disaster recovery and business continuity plans are in place and tested no less than yearly.
- Manages and maintains all remote employees with remote access requests and Citrix remote services
- Evaluate new technologies in the medical industry for Federal, State, and local laws, as well as HIPAA compliance.
- Mitigate risk of data breach by following HIPAA security recommendations.
- Responsible to assure an annual Risk Assessment is performed by an outside consultant/vendor. Will work with vendor on this assessment. Summary report will be reported to the MIS Committee.
- Responsible for the development of IT/Network policy and procedure manual inclusive of applicable laws that impact security (hardware, software, HIPAA/HITECH security etc). Update the manual at least annually
- Approve, prioritize, and control projects and the strategic plan as they relate to the selection, acquisition, development, and installation of major information systems.
- Promote and oversee strategic relationships between internal IT resources and external entities, including government, vendors, and partner organizations.
- Supervise recruitment, development, retention, and organization of all IT staff in accordance with corporate budgetary objectives and personnel policies
- Maintains the company's vaccine temperature monitoring program (Verilert) by making sure new and
- Replacement sensors are ordered, and adds/changes users per request to prevent vaccine loss and to ensure compliance with FL Shots requirements.
Qualification and Education Requirements:
- Associates Degree in Business or Information Technology. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Related training and education certification preferred.
- Working Knowledge of VMware Virtual Environments in a high‐availability environment.
- Working Knowledge of Microsoft Data Center and Server operating system(s)
- Working knowledge of Customer Service and Support
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Active Directory (AD)
- Working knowledge of Remote Monitoring and Management systems similar to PRTG, BMC Track‐It, and Netwrix Auditor.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products including Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, and OneNote.
- Working Knowledge of Cybersecurity best practices.
- Strong organizational, management and team building skills.
