Accounts Payable Specialist
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company's accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors, and maintaining financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Invoice Processing:
- Review, verify, and reconcile invoices for accuracy and completeness.
- Code invoices appropriately for proper accounting entry.
- Maintain accurate records of invoices, purchase orders, and approvals.
- Payment Processing:
- Prepare and process payments to vendors, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
- Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all accounts payable transactions.
- Prepare supporting documentation for audits.
- Communication:
- Communicate with vendors regarding payment status, invoice requests, and inquiries.
- Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Other Duties:
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in accounts payable or related accounting role preferred.
- Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar role.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite)
- Strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping.
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other relevant software.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
