What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Manager - College of Business (Brickell) position at Florida International University?
Provides excellent customer service to the College of Business MBA students by assisting to student requests, including, registration, academic progress, advising, and carrying out the logistics for student events. Serves as a liaison between students and other units in the University.
Ensures the fulfillment of educational goals and objectives, while ensuring all administrative aspects of the programs are executed. Ensures meeting of student retention goals; directing and participating in educational planning; program schedule organization ; and motivating and advising students. Works with other units in identifying and promoting programmatic initiatives and opportunities, to enhance the quality of service for the MBA programs.
- Works closely with the departmental leadership with all administrative aspects of the Professional MBA program, including implementation and execution. Collaborates with senior administrators to foster the highest standards of quality, customer service and educational value in all of the programs.
- Works closely with Faculty director to plan and schedule PMBA courses, as well as manage faculty assignments and follow up with their schedule and syllabi prior to and during assigned semesters. Supports the implementation of approved curricular changes, in consultation with Faculty Director, departmental leadership and all other appropriate parties.
- Troubleshoots and provides solutions for all aspects of the PMBA curriculum, i.e., collecting faculty schedules, syllabi and end of term assessments.
- Collaborates with departmental leadership and Faculty Directors on faculty and student academic issues.
- Works with departmental leadership in identifying and promoting programmatic initiatives and opportunities. Provides input into the administrative operations of the programs.
- Manages the day-to-day operations: including but not limited to parking validation process, study room reservations, scanning, and office support to the PMBA Student Experience team.
- Verifies and tracks conditionally admitted student so they comply with the necessary program requirements within the specified time frame after the start of the program.
- Implements and monitors the delivery of student services, to include: processing registration and students financials ; assisting with admissions; monitoring student progress to make sure they comply with program requirements; assisting with all activities for the programs, such as orientation, graduation, residencies; etc
- Disseminates information to currently enrolled students, regarding any issues that may arise in the programs, through presence at all instructional delivery locations and through electronic media.
- Provides support to students and faculty with on-site preparations, ensuring that classrooms and IT are working properly.
- Plans and coordinates catering services for each program and for special program events, such as graduation celebrations, orientation, residencies , etc. Works with operations' team regarding logistics for special program events.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an appropriate specialization and four (4) years of related experience, or Master's degree in an appropriate specialization and two (2) years related experience.
