The Florida Municipal Electric Association’s Member Services Coordinator helps enhance the organization’s success through effective membership outreach. The role involves updating information for FMEA’s Membership Directory, initiating member survey requests, compiling monthly bill comparison survey and updating member database information.

The Member Services Coordinator will collaborate closely with all FMEA staff in a teamwork environment to support FMEA association members and promote public power in their communities. The position will interface directly with members via phone, virtually, and in-person at Association events.

About FMEA: The Florida Municipal Electric Association (FMEA) represents the unified interests of Florida’s 33 public power communities. FMEA is the statewide trade association and voice for Florida’s municipal electric utilities.

FMEA provides its members with government relations, mutual aid coordination, communications, education, and networking opportunities. The association is at the forefront of energy industry news and trends and supports its member utilities by promoting public power and delivering superior services through advocacy, mutual aid, education, and collaboration.

· Update member and associate member information for the annual FMEA Membership Directory.

· Manage member survey requests.

· Manage monthly bill comparison survey.

· Update utility member information in association management system/database, including contacts on FMEA committees and distribution lists.

· Update statistical information on various spreadsheets and the website.

· Assist with organization of meetings, conferences, workshops, and awards.

· Digitize past FMEA files and publications.

· Conduct internet research on association related topics and companies.

· Use word processing, spreadsheet, and database software to prepare reports, memos, and documents.

· Assist FMEA Conference Registrar with conference-related registration information for FMEA major events (some in-state travel is required for FMEA major events, approximately 5% of time).

· Assist with data collection and news gathering.

- Proficient use of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

- Anticipate, understand, and respond to the needs of staff and members of the Association to meet or exceed their expectations.

- Ability to manage and organize multiple tasks and deadlines.

- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others, both internally and externally, to achieve the goals of the Association.

- Ability to set priorities, develop a work schedule, monitor progress towards goals, and track details/data/information/activities.

- Work professionally, cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions that enhance organizational effectiveness.

- Ability to research topics and collaborate with team members to produce content.

Bachelor’s degree, two-year college degree with at least 2-3 years of business experience in an office setting required, or high school diploma with related level of experience. Preference given to candidates who have experience in associations or non-profits.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
