Job Title: Transportation Coordinator
Job Summary
- Under general supervision of the Transportation Manager, plans, organizes and implements the transportation services of the Day Health Center
Essential Job Functions
- Plans and coordinates all scheduling activities related to transportation for MJH / PACE participants
- Supervises daily the activities of the Drivers
- Provides Human Resources Management in conjunction with the Transportation Manager of Drivers
- Responsible for coordination of all outside service providers of transportation
- Monitors drivers and ensures the safe operation of company vehicles
- Assures all necessary program records are maintained according to policy
- Completes other job duties related to the care and well-being of MJH PACE participants as assigned
- Participates in department meetings and in-services as necessary
Job Requirements
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
- Two years of supervisory experience preferred
Licenses/Certifications:
- Current Florida Driver’s License preferred
Abilities Required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of Dade and Broward County streets
- Ability to deal with physical and emotionally frail, elderly and/or disabled persons
- Ability to get in and out of the buses constantly to assist passengers
- Must attend and pass safety driving program annually, and maintain good driving record
- Operates equipment to assist disabled persons
