Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Skilled Nursing Facility
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in a skilled nursing facility. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of residents by providing high-quality speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing therapy.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in adult and geriatric patients.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to enhance communication and swallowing function.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including occupational and physical therapists, nursing staff, and physicians.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans and strategies for continued progress.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of patient-centered care plans.
Qualifications:
• Unencumbered Speech Language Pathologist license in the state of Florida.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred; CFY candidates may be considered.
• Experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting is a plus.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
