Position Description

Under the direction of the Deputy Executive Director of Administration, the Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the implementation of new projects and overseeing projects to ensure all aspects of a project are planned, organized, and completed in a timely and satisfactory manner. These projects may include staff development and training programs, business strategies and management systems.

Essential Functions

  • Engages with key stakeholders to define project goals, requirements, and scope.
  • Creates project management plans that align with the organization’s strategic objectives.
  • Develops and maintains project performance database that tracks overall progress and achievement of milestones.
  • Provides project updates to stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinates staff involvement in projects, ensures project scope and objectives are understood and individual roles are defined.
  • Monitors resources to align with the project plan.
  • Reports project risks to Project Champion and Sponsor(s), escalates issues, and provides solutions where reasonable.
  • Coordinates implementation of new systems and process minimizing the adverse effects of organizational changes and optimizing positive results.
  • Develops presentations, project documentation, and training materials
  • Supports development and sustainability of existing enterprise applications and databases through process improvement initiatives.
  • Conducts research and develops reports on current and future projects.
  • Provides ad hoc data analytics and reporting related to enterprise projects or requests from leadership.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education, Professional Certification, or License

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Professional certification Project Management Professional desired.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum of four years’ experience in project management or coordination.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Project management.
  • Experience in coordinating teams and clients.
  • Ability to work well with leadership and staff.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • Exercise discretion with sensitive topics or information.

Pay: $66,880.00 - $110,352.00 per year
