- Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memoranda
- Write simple correspondence

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of sixty (60) hours of college credit, preferred
- Illinois Professional Educator License with Stipulations, preferred
- Experience in school setting, preferred
- Experience working with children, preferred
- Maintain confidentiality of student information
- Provide student supervision in the hallways, common areas, lunchroom, and other areas as identified
- Implement daily assignments as designed by the building administration and teaching staff
- Manage student behavior
- Support the implementation of behavior intervention plans as needed
- Demonstrate effective behavior management strategies including redirection of inappropriate behavior
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Utilization of resources from other work units within the school district is required to perform the job’s functions
- Generally, the job requires bending, carrying, climbing, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, sitting, standing, and walking along with light physical exertion
- Must be able to occasionally lift, move, or push items of 50 lbs.
- Intervene in student altercations
- Loud environment at a standard acceptable level
- Extremes of temperature and humidity
- Hazards include stairs and communicable diseases
- 10 months, 178 days, 7 hours per day (7:30 am - 3:00 pm)
