Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Automation Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background in industrial automation who also enjoys assisting customers with troubleshooting and product inquiries. The position requires a combination of technical expertise and exceptional communication skills to resolve issues and enhance the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for industrial automation products, including HMIs, drives, sensors, pneumatics, actuators, and other control components.
- Assist customers with troubleshooting, diagnostics, and problem resolution via phone, email, or live chat.
- Serve as the first point of contact for customers, offering exceptional customer service and product guidance.
- Document customer interactions, technical issues, and solutions in the company’s ERP system.
- Collaborate with the engineering and sales teams to provide accurate technical information and support product selection.
- Guide customers through installation procedures and operational best practices.
- Stay up to date with the latest automation technologies and company product offerings.
- Process customer quotes, orders, returns, and warranty claims as needed.
- Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and provide ongoing support.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Technical background in industrial automation, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a related field.
- Experience with industrial networking and troubleshooting automation systems is a plus.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD with the ability to create and interpret technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to explain technical concepts in an easy-to-understand manner.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple inquiries and work efficiently under pressure.
- Experience with an ERP is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software tools.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
