The Technical Sales Representative draws on practical knowledge of steam and hot water utilities to provide customers with the best solution available for the application.
Summary/Objective:
Maintain a customer base of key accounts that generate recurring sales to achieve the annual sales plan for the territory.
Essential Functions:
Build relationships with design engineers, mechanical contractors and end users.
Majority of time meeting directly on-site with customers.
Developing opportunities by identifying solutions to solve customer needs.
Promoting solutions of key manufacturers that we represent.
Maintaining customer relationship management (CRM) data including daily activities.

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate degree or equivalent from two year college or technical school and / or three years of sales experience in mechanical field.
Experience with steam and hot water systems.
Ambitious ‘hunter’ sales personality.
Mechanical aptitude and / or practical knowledge of pipe, valves and fittings.
Computer skills including Microsoft Office.
Able to work both independently and in a team environment.
OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Technical training provided by company during work hours.
This position is home based, must live within sales territory.
Salary : $100,000 - $150,000
