Job Summary:
The Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining integrated software and hardware systems within the organization. This role involves analyzing requirements, developing system architecture, configuring both software and hardware components, and ensuring the reliability, performance, and compatibility of systems. The Systems Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to support the organization’s technological needs and drive innovation in both software and hardware domains.
Kew Responsibilities:
· Design and develop integrated software and hardware systems based in organizational requirements and objectives.
· Evaluate existing systems and propose improvements or upgrades to enhance performance, reliability, and scalability across both software and hardware layers.
· Configure and deploy software applications, operating systems, firmware, and hardware components to support system infrastructure.
· Collaborate with software developers, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate software and hardware systems seamlessly and ensure compatibility.
· Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to identify and resolve root causes in a timely manner, considering both software and hardware aspects.
· Document system configurations, procedures, and best practices to maintain an accurate and up-to-date knowledge base for both software and hardware components.
· Participate in project planning and implementation activities, including system upgrades, migrations, and expansions, with a focus on integrating software and hardware seamlessly.
· Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff as needed, addressing both software and hardware-related inquiries and issues.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or computer science preferred or comparable work experience of 5 years.
· Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
· Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office)
· Experience with AC/DC wiring and devices.
· Experience with electromechanical devices and electro pneumatic devices.
· Experience with LabView, PLC or other programming experience.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across software and hardware layers.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
· Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed to meet demands.
