About the Role
As a Café / Catering / Commissary Chef, you will collaborate on menu development and execute food preparation for our café, catering services, and commissary production. This role is ideal for someone passionate about crafting elevated, health-conscious meals with exceptional quality and presentation.
- Execute menus for the café, catering events, and commissary production, emphasizing plant-forward, Mediterranean-inspired cuisine.
- Prepare diverse offerings such as smoothies, breakfast sandwiches, grain bowls, grazing boards, and health-focused meals tailored to office teams and events.
- Manage daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and adherence to food safety standards.
- Source fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients to align with the company’s sustainable and better-for-you ethos.
- Train, supervise, and inspire kitchen staff as needed to maintain high standards and productivity.
- Oversee catering logistics, including event preparation, equipment management, and on-site service.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant kitchen environment.
- Proven experience as a Café Chef, Catering Chef, or Commissary Kitchen Chef, or a combination of these roles.
- Expertise in plant-forward, Mediterranean, and seasonal cuisine with a focus on fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
- Familiarity with catering logistics and commissary kitchen workflows.
- Strong culinary skills with attention to detail, presentation, and consistency.
- Leadership and organizational abilities to manage kitchen staff and operations effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification (preferred).
