Position Summary : Associate Teachers assist lead teachers with instruction classroom management cleaning food preparation and implement curriculum ongoing assessments and observations for preschoolage children utilizing developmentally appropriate practices consistent with agency policies Michigan childcare licensing and the Head Start Program Performance Standards.
Job Type : Fulltime Program Year 10month program 2 months off)NonExempt Hourly
Expected Schedule : 40 hours per weekMondayFriday 8a4 : 30p
Rate of Pay : HS / GED : $15.61 CDA : $15.93 AA : $17.84 BA or higher : $19.12
Education Requirement : High School Diploma or equivalent with oneyear related experience.
Must complete ageappropriate Child Development Associate credential child development apprenticeship or associates degree in early childhood education within two years of hire.
Qualifications : Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook etc.)Strong organizational problemsolving and decisionmaking skills
Other Selection Criteria : All candidates must complete a preemployment drug screen physical examination and comprehensive fingerprinted criminal background check and possess a valid drivers license and / or reliable transportation.
